Between the cookies, the drinks, and the big desserts, it’s time to get back on track.
Where to Start (The Simple Reset List)
- ✅ Dry January
- ✅ Fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood
- ✅ No refined grains, refined sugar, or fried foods
- ✅ Cut out cream and sugar from coffee

Goal Setting (How to Make It Stick)
Now we finally have time to reflect and make wise goals for the new year.
1) The “20 Goals” Method
Write out 20 goals. Yes—20. No matter how big or small. Typically by the time you get to #20, that’s your real goal (but it varies).
This is tough, but worth it. Throw some music on, light a candle, and get started.
2) The “5 Why’s” Method
Write down why you want to work out, then answer “why” to that answer 5 times. Example:
I want to work out to inspire others.
Why? Because exercise has shown me how great the world can be.
Why? Because I’m able to accept every challenge and do everything the world has to offer.
Why? Because I train hard and use that mindset to achieve anything.
Why? Because when you learn how to be successful at one thing, you can use those same skills to be successful at anything (with the right guidance/knowledge).
Why? Because working out isn’t just working out—it’s time management, self-care, delayed gratification, and building a body that creates more energy to enjoy life.
What Other People Do (and My Thoughts)
- Whole30 – Tough, but opens your eyes to how much processed food you consume. Worth doing at least once.
- 75 Hard – Cool to see what you can do, but too stressful for most. Not sustainable. Can create a “hate” for health.
- 1 Mile a Day in January – Great if you’re consistent. Just make sure to stretch daily so you don’t beat up your body if you’re not an experienced runner.
Get a Coach (Seriously)
I don’t care who you work with—but so many people buy memberships or new at-home gym equipment just to use it once and never again.
We live in a world where most of our energy goes to work, family, and maybe friends. We don’t have enough left to:
- ❌ Stay accountable
- ❌ Plan what to do
- ❌ Know if we’re doing it right
- ❌ Handle nutrition in a way that actually delivers results
So people stop, not long after they start. Wasting money on gym memberships or home equipment
Even Coaches Need Coaches
I’m working with a coach too. I’m starting gymnastics—not because I want to be an Olympian, but because I realized from our Fall Challenge that I don’t stretch enough. I need the accountability. And it’s helping me move better and unlock new goals.
